How to use the result
Search the inspector by the exact name and license number printed on the inspection agreement or report. Check that the license is active, that the name matches the person doing the inspection (not just the company), and whether any disciplinary orders are listed. In states without licensing, ask for proof of insurance, a sample report and membership in a professional association with a code of ethics.
